About the role:
We are looking for an Academic Staff Member - Foundations/Bridging to come add value to the Learning Delivery unit. This team is responsible for teaching our students in an online and distance learning environment.
The Academic Staff Member - Bridging is responsible for the delivery and facilitation of our level 3 and 4 Bridging programmes using interactive and innovative technology in accordance with the Open Polytechnic\ 's teaching strategy.
Youwill have skills and past experience in facilitating adult learning environments and a sound understanding of the requirements for unit/achievement standards.
The ideal candidate will have;
A sound knowledge and understanding of how learners\ ' language, literacy and numeracy skills are enhanced through effective teaching at foundation and bridging level
A passion for the integration of technologies in enabling enhanced education provision
A degree qualification, ideally with experience and knowledge of the effective provision of bridging and foundation education through formal programmes of study
About you:
You will have a passion for impacting the lives of everyday people and seeing them achieve their educational goals and dreams. You will also constantly be striving to be the best you can be by maintaining and developing your own professional and technical skills and knowledge.
You will have;
Experience working with M?ori and Pasifika learners
A record of successful achievement of education performance indicators and ability to maintain close and effective working relationships with students and colleagues
An excellent ability to build rapport with all people, both staff and students
