Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) are looking for an Advanced Project Engineer with Electronic Security Systems experience to join the team in Auckland.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and assisting Project Managers on the delivery of security projects to which they have been allocated. You will responsible for coordinating the requirements of various key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Service, through to Customers and Customer site employees.
Key Responsibilities;
Electronic Security Systems design, implementation, integration, commissioning and documentation
Identification and assessment of customer needs and specifications on-site and translation into workable solutions and scope requirements
Developing software (e.G. configuring PLC?s, Scada Systems, Electronic Security Equipment), perform ?bench testing? if required and deliver commissioning packages to the field. Perform commissioning and assist in the start-up and customer hand over as required.
Sales Assistance, involving innovative use of the newest technology in establishing system design, and providing project estimates
Provide technical direction to other project team members, help in planning / scheduling of project execution and Quality Assurance.
Appropriate security clearances need to be obtained for this role to gain access to correctional centres and other security requirements.

Education, Qualification &
A degree or considerable experience in an electrical, electronic, mechatronic or similar engineering discipline or trade.
Some experience and understanding of ICT (e.G. Networks and Servers)
A comprehensive understanding is some high-end security applications (e.G. CCTV, IPTV/MATV, Intercom, PLC, Access Control and/or Biometrics
Experience in security engineering (hardware and software)
Considerable experience in control projects, with extensive on-site knowledge
Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
