We are looking for a contracted management couple to manage our beautiful resort on Whitianga comprising of a motel and townhouses located in the gorgeous Oceans Resort complex.
We are seeking a motivated couple who want to apply their proven skills in running an exciting developing accommodation business in the heart of Whitianga.
You are responsible for the business 24/7 (between the two of you) managing reception and bookings, working with the housekeeping staff, managing day to day activities to ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business.
The business has a good team of existing housekeepers and a full time receptionist, we are looking for a management couple to take the business to the next level.
Ensure guests have an exceptional experience when dealing with the business, this means responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
Develop and ensure profitable revenue for the business, including maximizing margins, providing feedback and solutions on monthly results, wage costs, cost of sales, placing orders, tracking inventory.
Housekeeping supervision and duties - assist with casual staff when busy and ensure high quality of outcomes. Must be hands on as the role requires you to be working with the housekeeping team.
Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agents, group bookings and Internet profiling.
Ensure the accommodation units are maintained to a high standard by completing room checks and ensuring maintenance activities are actioned.
Building manager duties such as lawn mowing, working with gardeners and tree trimmers, ensuring that the grounds are maintained to a high standard
Completing minor maintenance on rooms when required
You must both have proven experience as motel managers min 5 years\ ' experience
Have an understanding of all motel management best practices and guidelines
Excellent customer service as well as business mindset
Must have proven organisational skills and excellent communication skills
Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Be reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Have good computer skills and able to work with basic programmes
Ideally have experience with either EzyRes or Roonsoft
Hands on and prepared to get stuck in and do the work, including any property maintenance required.
Must be able to provide 3 references from former employers.
