About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Development Manager who will work in the Business Development team to develop long lasting relationships with NZ, Australia and Overseas? greatest retailers.
You will have a strong track record of performance and a willingness to work, and succeed, in a fast-paced and high-growth start-up environment. You will have a strong understanding of eCommerce and the desire to truly make a difference for the companies to which you sell. You are solution focused, motivated, competitive, and know how to get things done.
We are looking for someone who is great at what they do, who loves to sell and deliver results as part of a team. Your responsibilities will include:
Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships that can involve marketing, content, commerce, operational, and technology components
Manage the full customer journey and lifecycle from prospecting to winning
Evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit of joining the marketplace on behalf of merchants
Develop best practices to initiate, manage, and track opportunities
Support the strategic objectives and interests of the business
Analyse sales and reports that provide insights into target retailers, products and brands
Continually enhance business development assets to improve opportunity conversion
Develop and cultivate cross-functional relationships with technology, marketing &
ops teams across the start-up company, the wider Warehouse Group and external partners
The successful candidate will have:
5+ years in senior business development role
Experience in Partnership Management, Account Management and Business Development
End-to-end negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships
Strong awareness of NZ retail landscape from a brand and category perspective
Comfortable presenting to all levels of clients from C-level executives to small business owners
Able to accurately interpret business needs and provide targeted value proposition
Strong negotiation, interpersonal and relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment
Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally
Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality, and a genuine love of selling
