The Bay of Plenty District Health Board (DHB) employs over 3,700 people, has two main hospitals in Tauranga and Whakat?ne and is responsible for the delivery of Health Services for over 238,000 people. The DHB works with the 18 iwi of the region through our M?ori Health R?nanga, to improve the health of our M?ori population.
The BOPDHB is taking steps to enhance and mature our capability to provide appropriate, current and trusted information to our users when and where they need it.
An opportunity has become available for a Business Intelligence Senior Developer and Technical Lead to join the Information Services Team at the BOPDHB.
This position is responsible for the accessibility, security, quality and retention of the BOPDHB databases and data subsets. You will investigate, challenge, model and report information that meets current and future clinical and business needs. You will maintain and continuously develop an understanding of the clinical processes and business frameworks within the New Zealand Public Health environment, and how these impact on requirements for data integration, integrity and retention.
We are looking for professionals with experience in Microsoft and associated data visualisation tools, who preferably also have health sector experience.
To be successful in this position you will:
Hold a relevant tertiary qualification
Be proficient with MS SQL Server 2016
Have at least 5 years\ ' experience with MS SSIS Integration Services
Be familiar with Power BI and MS data modelling tools
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based at Tauranga Hospital;
there may be a requirement to travel between Tauranga and Whakatane as required.
