Campus Security Officer
Continuing (i.E. permanent) position
Full-time at 42 hours per weekPlease note, this role requires shift work, typically on a 4 day on / 4 day off basis.
What You Will DoThe UC Security team provide a comprehensive 24-hour, 7 day a week security service across the UC campuses, and we are seeking a Campus Support Officer to join the team to enhance this. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of a diverse range of customer focused operational security and parking services. You will monitor the CCTV system and the activities of the security officers undertaking security checks, as well as being the first point of contact for emergencies occurring on the University campus.
Who You AreTo be successful in this role, you will have experience working in security within a medium to large organisation, as well as the following:
Experience within a tertiary setting
Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer services
Knowledge of MS Office and intermediate PC skills
Adaptability and the ability to learn new systems
Who You Will Work WithThe Facilities Management Department provides support to the University\ 's teaching research and support functions in four key areas:
Security Services Delivery
Capital planning, programming and delivery
Maintenance planning, programming and delivery
Support Services Delivery
