We are looking for experienced Drainage Service people to join our team and deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for.
We have vacancies in the following areas;
The Job
Your responsibility will be to assist in the maintenance of the sewage and stormwater system.
Ensure a free flowing sewage and stormwater piped system.
Minimize sewage overflow and pipeline infiltration of stormwater into the sewage system.
Install new connections, new saddle and manhole connections.
Maintain public open watercourses.
Cleaner sanitary sewer and stormwater blockages.
Construct new, adjust and repair broken and damaged pipelines.
Inspect and provide routine maintenance of problem areas within the drainage system.
Clean open watercourses and culvert entrances and outlets.
Read and understand plans.
Maintain effective working relationships with all staff within Wellington Water and Fulton Hogan, as well as external vendors and members of public.
Attend call-out duties, and undertake civil defense and emergency management tasks as directed.
You?ll use your good people skills to build genuine and lasting relationships with our customers, and our people (we?re one big whanau). And you?ll have the skills and experience to help us achieve our strategic objectives.
Experience and attributes
Understanding of drainage reticulation system.
Relevant trade or qualification and/or proven experience in plumbing or drain laying.
Full Class 2 license, with WTR endorsements preferred. STMS Level 1 preferred.
Experience with machinery preferred e.G. Excavator, Compactor etc.
Work confidently in confined spaces, be physically fit and able to carry out the demands of the role.
Have a commitment to working at a high level of health and safety.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
