Applications are invited from suitably experienced Early Intervention Teachers, Registered Psychologists, Intern Psychologists working towards registration and Learning Support Advisors to join our Hawke\ 's Bay/Tair?whiti team. Fulltime, part-time permanent and fixed term positions based in our Napier and Gisborne offices are available. The ability to provide support across our region would be beneficial.
The successful applicants will work with children and young people who have complex needs and/or severe and challenging behaviours. The work will involve a range of assessment and intervention services, and includes establishing effective relationships with parents, families, whanau, educators and others working in the community. Skills in applied behaviour analysis and educational assessment are required and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills within a contextual framework. There is also an expectation that you will use the PB4L School Wide framework in the work that you do to support and train the education sector. Support and training will be provided for you to do this. The successful applicants will be able to work effectively across both school and early childhood sectors.
