With the support of another Environment Advisor and reporting to the Development and Compliance Manager, you will provide technical support and assist with the development and implementation of the environmental compliance and monitoring program across tenanted sites. You will also provide technical support to the property team and assist with the environmental management across new developments. You will also ensure compliance with legislation, monitoring programmes and the Resource Management Act obligations. As a core part of your role you will be co-ordinating the environmental compliance and monitoring program across all CIAL tenants including conducting site-inspections, producing audit reports and managing corrective actions with both the tenants and CIAL property and facilities divisions. You will also promote, advocate and provide training around environmental awareness and groundwater protection to all tenants, stakeholders and CIAL staff. Another core role will be working alongside the property development team ensuring new developments meet CIALs environmental regulatory requirements. An aspect of this role will also involve construction environmental compliance monitoring, including on-site inspections, producing audit reports and managing corrective actions with both contractors and project managers. Required ExperienceTo be considered for this opportunity, it is essential you possess:
An environmental science, science or relevant environmental management degree. Have 2-3 years? relevant work experience, with knowledge of the Resource Management Act, being able to demonstrate they can read and interpret RMA consents and apply the conditions on the ground. Have sound knowledge of stormwater and groundwater practices, environmental auditing, pollution prevention and environmental management. Hold a full clean drivers licence Ability to build rapport easily;
