We have a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Advisor for Honeywell Building Solutions in New Zealand, based in Auckland.
The Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will provide subject matter expertise to Honeywell Building Solutions Business across New Zealand and be a key point of contact within this district. Reporting to the District HSE Leader, you will assist Business Managers and Leaders in delivering the HBS HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and drive the company?s safety culture.
Key Areas of Responsibility include;
Have a thorough understanding of legislative requirements, assist and provide guidance where required involving regulatory authorities and / or legislative understanding.
To continue the development and refinement of HSE Management Systems, governance structures and reporting systems
Ensure appropriate timely investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents including identification of immediate and underlying causes, actions to prevent recurrence
Ensure the keeping of accurate and up-to-date daily records and archiving of safety documentation and key safety issues at all relevant sites/facilities through site diaries, weekly reports, meeting minutes and the like
On time reporting and maintenance of HSE documentation
Represent the District HSE team in allocation region
Cascade the HSE strategy across the district and HBS pacific business to ensure performance to plan for leading and lagging indicators, safety initiatives, projects and safety reporting requirements and systems.
Will establish relationships and processes with Business Managers to drive HSE goals and objectives
Work with the District HSE Leader to identify actions required to maintain HS&
E Certification to, AS4801, ISO 18001
Assist in the development and review of safety management plans
Assist in review, update and development of new procedures to ensure compliance to the new ISO 450001
Present HSE related training such as Safe Operations Management training and identify HSE training requirements
Audit Honeywell managed facilities and projects to ensure the Company is compliant to statutory and corporate requires and working to approved risk management places.
Complete HSE reporting requirements such as audit and investigations
Manage key projects as determined by the District HSE Leader or Pacific HSE Leader

Education, Qualifications &
Experience;
Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental, Risk Management, Occupational Hygiene or other appropriate qualification
Approximately 3-5 years? experience in a full time HSE role with demonstrated HSE experience.
A comprehensive knowledge of safety legislation and management systems
Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills
Demonstrable personal attributes to effectively communicate and influence all levels of employees and leadership
Experienced in change management and continuous improvement projects
Willing to travel (domestically)
Competence in accident/incident investigation techniques, including FMEA and other forms of analysis
Experience in developing and running training sessions
