At Abletech we build web + mobile solutions. We?re innovative with both our in-house products and for our clients.
We are looking for a server side developer with experience in either Ruby on Rails or Elixir.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Abletech and business representitives to design, build and deliver stories
Develop Ruby and Elixir-based APIs and services
Use object-oriented and functional styles to write code
Write automated tests to build maintainable code
Learn any other necessary skills on the job as needed
Interact with Abletech customers to clarify requirements if needed
Seek to develop yourself by learning new technologies and keeping up-to-date with market developments
Snapshot of the work we?re doing
Building and growing our own SaaS businesses
Understanding customer needs and deliverying software solutions
Identifying new business opportunities
Strategic moves into new markets or sectors
We have our own in-house products! AddressFinder.Nz and WatchMyGear.Com
We love to delight our customers
We listen to and understand the underlying problem or need, and draw on experience in UX, system design, and runtime parameters to design an efficient solution to the problem
We introduce experience from internal or external successes and learnings, and cross pollinate onto other projects we are involved in
We are active within our community
Participate in meetups, conferences and workshops
Contribute to open source libraries
Financially support sponsorship and open source funding initiatives
Volunteer speaking at Summer of Tech, Wellington Girls? College, RailsGirls, WellRailed, Enspiral Dev Academy, Startup Weekend, Charity-IT Hackathon etc.
