The Learning &
Development Lead will develop a learning strategy for an online programme, including the management of the scoping, design, development, delivery, monitoring and review of learning initiatives and approaches to support the transition of examinations from manual, paper-based systems to an online digital platform by 2020.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Strategy and Programme Development
Proactively leads the development and implementation (including the instructional design components) of learning initiatives of the Online project, ensuring they are efficient, effective, fit-for-purpose and aligned to the needs of the project.
Conducts needs analysis to ensure that learning initiatives support the learning needs of the workforce.
Develops an Online learning strategy which includes the schedule, resource, budget, consultation, risk management and user testing and evaluation.
Co-ordinates the input of subject matter experts for content development, delivery and quality assurance.
Plans, co-ordinates and implements relevant learning interventions and appropriate opportunities, including consideration of appropriate media (face-to-face, online, etc) to best reflect the needs of the audience.
Delivers, or arranges delivery, of learning opportunities.
Works with subject matter experts to provide them with the skills and expertise to train others as required
Learning Programme Evaluation
Develops mechanisms and evaluation processes to systematically monitor, review and measure the success of initiatives.
Reviews and reports on learning initiatives by evaluating and validating interventions and activities.
Analyses evaluation data to gain insights and make recommendations for updates.
Ensures appropriate quality assurance processes are in place for learning initiatives, whether delivered internally or by external providers.
Resource Management
Selects contractors and/or service providers using procurement guidelines and processes.
Brokers access to and use of external support when required.
Manages relationships with external providers responsible for delivering key learning solutions.
