About The Role
As Manager Retail Models, you would have the opportunity to:
Report to the Head of Retail Models NZ
Be responsible for managing the decision models/automated solutions and/or capital estimate models and development of strategy led analytics that apply to retail consumer and business portfolios across the credit life cycle
Act as a key point of contact between nominated business units, Group Modelling, Monitoring &
Insights and Group Validation for various model types
Maintain engagement with businesses, forums and working groups as required to keep relevant stakeholders informed about the performance of models, impact of upcoming changes and progress of models/infrastructure development projects
Explore advanced modelling techniques and evaluate usage of various techniques for adoption in collaboration with other business areas
Provide technical advice and training, knowledge sharing, mentoring and coaching to team members where required
Ensure all models delivered comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes and standards and with legal and regulatory requirements
Demonstrate the ANZ values and contribute to a customer-centric culture, fostering collaboration across teams and business units

12-month fixed-term, full-time opportunity
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Advanced understanding of credit scoring, capital models and portfolio management techniques, IFRS9 standards and associated modelling methodology
Proven experience using analytical software such as SAS, R or SBSS is required
Banking and project management experience is advantageous
Well-developed written, oral and presentation skills
Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem solving skills
Proven ability to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships, including coaching of teammates
