What we?re looking for
We are seeking an experienced and competent strategic manager to lead Fulton Hogan?s Electrical function across New Zealand. Reporting to the General Manager ? Engineering Solutions, the National Electrical Managers remit will be to develop strategy and diversification that will ensure ongoing success for Fulton Hogan and our customers. You will be central to the broader leadership function within the business
You?ll be Responsible for
The National Electrical Manager will be responsible for the strategic leadership and development of the Electrical Business as well as working with our regional businesses to resolve challenges and innovate with our customers. The role heads up a team of specialists that work across the country and are based at several different locations around New Zealand. You will support your team with:
Developing standardisation and consistency in our delivery
Leading operational excellence
Developing a high performance and unified team
Successful delivery of all projects (safely, operationally and financially)
Driving continuous improvement within all Electrical business activities
Championing and enabling collaborative working within internal business streams
What you?ll bring to the table
You will be an expert in the Electrical space with the ability to set the strategic direction and take the function to the next level. You will have existing industry networks, with the ability to engage and build lasting relationships across a wide range of people and key clients. Integral to this role is your ability to motivate and lead by example, our successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:
Strong health and safety leadership focus
At least 5 years experience in a role of a similar calibre
Experience providing leadership across an organisation or large business unit
Relevant tertiary qualificationProven experience in strategy development and execution
Ability to effectively communicate and engage with all levels of an organisation, internally and externally with clients
Commercially savvy with sound financial acumen, experience managing capital programming and expenditure
Proven experience leading and developing a business and identifying business development opportunities to increase revenue
Able to demonstrate sound negotiation and conflict management skills
