What we do
We?re looking for a motivated individual to join our Pharmacy Distribution team. This is an exciting and varied opportunity to work within an experienced team on a rotational basis across our various campuses:
Our Distribution team provides all the stock pharmacy requirements to each ward within the DHB utilising bar code technology. The team scans, picks, checks and delivers all items to a tight schedule. Accuracy is paramount to your success in this role. While this position will primarily be based in Distribution, you may find yourself working in other pharmacy areas across our hospital sites.
We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity (1.0FTE/40hr per week) for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant who is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of the Canterbury community! The days and hours associated with this position are 8.00am ? 4.30pm Monday ? Friday.
Where you fit in
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring supply and delivery of pharmaceuticals to wards and departments;
Delivering/processing inward goods to the pharmacy;
General stock management and housekeeping duties;
There is also an aspect of data entry to this role.
Your skills will include:
You will be walking long distances and lifting heavy cartons so physical fitness is key;
A client/customer focus with the ability to carry out the role in a courteous and compassionate manner;
Previous experiencein warehousing/stock taking is advantageous;
Previous experienceas a pharmacy assistant is preferable, and hospital experience is advantageous.
