Reporting to the Auckland Metro Programme Support Manager, you will oversee the full end to end procurement process, planning and contract execution and liaising with suppliers for the Auckland Metro Network Program including the City Rail Link project;
aligning KiwiRail procurement with the broader business plan.
Working closely with our Project Managers in the Capital Projects and Asset Development business unit, you will provide accurate and helpful advice on KiwiRail and Government/MBIE procurement frameworks.
Without being exhaustive, our projects are in the fields of rail infrastructure, ancillary disciplines (above and below rail), civil and construction, property, marine, rolling stock, tourism, marketing &
operational readiness and programmes in change management.
With previous experience in commercial and contract development within large and complex infrastructure projects, you will be well versed in tender process and management. You have a proven track record in drafting contracts, contract negotiations and implementation including vendor management throughout the life of the contract. Your unquestionable integrity enables you to build lasting, trusting relationships at all levels, with a broad range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have;
Relevant tertiary qualification/s
Solid high-level, complex procurement experience
Extensive understanding of project procurement best practice
You are resilient by nature and someone who is able to influence others to achieve desired outcomes
Previous experience in optimisation/ network logistics/operations environment although not essential, is highly desirable
