The role is full time Tuesday to Saturday, with a mixture of day time and evening shifts. You will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Meat, Seafood, Chilled, Frozen, and Liquor Departments including all buying and operational functions.
Key responsibilities and duties of the role are as follows:
Purchasing for the departments, including the regular monitoring of sales data, stock levels, industry trends, and manufacturers new products.
Measuring sales and establishing strategies to meet sales expectations and take part in long term planning with owner.
Working with suppliers to negotiate range, costs, promotions and retails to meet both customer expectations as well achieving targets.
Reviewing stock levels to address under and over supply issues along with seasonal demands and budgetary requirements
Using SAP proficiently to ensure optimal stock levels and purchasing to best practice standards.
Ensuring departments are well stocked to provide our customers with an excellent selection of products in a clean and tidy environment.
Ensuring department ticketing is accurate.
Ensure optimal product relays in relation to space to sales and profit targets ensure planning and execution of marketing and product displays.
Coordinate planning of weekly promotional displays.
Communicating to the Fresh team current promotions, merchandising requirements and inventory issues.
Date checking and rotation of product is carried out in a thorough manner each time the shelves are filled.
Ensuring all products are faced to the front of the shelf when filling and that entire department is faced up daily.
