We seek an enthusiastic scientist interested in leading-edge precision/digital agriculture (PA) research focusing on crops as well as farm integration. The role will support the development and application of sensors, concepts and information-based management systems from an agronomic perspective (plant production) and for automation of agricultural production, including robotics. You will work at the forefront of precision/digital agricultural R&D. This is a senior role within the team and will support the Group Manager for Precision Agriculture with the strategic direction and management of the Group, with a potential future opportunity to lead the Group. Excellent research work in agronomy, agro-technology or related sciences. At least five years? proven and applicable experience in establishing, conducting and managing independent and excellent R&D. Designing robust PAg trials and PAg implementation on farms. Statistics for agricultural and other biological research. Leading interdisciplinary R&D project teams and managing R&D projects. Working in a commercial environment. Effective communication of research concepts and results to industry. Introducing new production concepts and technologies in industries.
