There are two parts to our business - the regulatory arm (Civil Aviation Authority), which is responsible for the safety oversight of the civil aviation system, and the security arm (Aviation Security Service) who you would have met if you?ve travelled by plane in New Zealand. We?re a Crown entity and we?re responsible for the safety and security of New Zealand?s civil aviation system.About the roleDue to internal movement, we are seeking a Software Engineer to join the CAA Information and Technology team. Reporting to the Information and Technology Operations Manager, you?ll be responsible for developing and supporting software related projects across the Authority.
Working closely with the Software Delivery Lead and a team of Software Engineers, you?ll be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of our applications.What we?re looking forWe are looking for someone who is a supportive colleague who is able to build strong relationships with our stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience working with .NET, SQL Server, and PowerShell to name a few.
To be considered for this role you will have experience:
Contribute to the selection of the software development approach for projects
Maintain application support processes, and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
Conduct tests of software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools.
