Software Licensing Analyst - Wellington City - Permanent Full Time
As a Software Licensing Analyst, you will be a pivotal member of a collaborative team involved in revising and managing all our Software Licensing requirements at all levels to help deliver sound advice and value to the business.
About the role
To be successful in this role, you will have had experience working in a Software Licensing role or had this as part of role. You will take ownership of the role and be confident to take part in conversations and facilitate complex meetings.
You must have good technical understanding with the ability to communicate well with finance, third party vendor and technology teams. You will be working in the Service Aggregation team, working across procurement, finance and technology capabilities to review all licensing requirements, identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement and reduce waste through re-use and regular review. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills and a consultative style, as well as the requisite budgeting ability.
What we can offer you
You will be part of a supportive and collaborative Operations team focused on reviewing all licensing requirements with the Digital Office in conjunction with the Procurement and Finance functions. You will also be part of wider Government Licensing Community as you create networks within the public sector and leverage all of Government agreements.
You will work on a range of different projects and areas which are critical to Justice, whilst improving our reputation and capacity for sound judgement and advice.
Experience in implementing and maintaining effective licensing practices in a multivendor environment.
The ability to consult with stakeholders to advise on the best usage of future or current license agreements.
Monitoring, analysing and reporting on current license usage against agreements to provide optimal value.
Sound understanding of All of Government ICT management principles and offerings.

The salary range for this role is $91,941 - $124,391.
