Maritime New Zealand is the national regulatory, compliance and response agency that looks after the safety, security and environmental protection of coastal and inland waterways. The Sector Engagement and Collaboration team is responsible for developing and coordinating opportunities to engage with industry and this is where you fit in!
No day will be the same for the administrator, with your abundance of energy and drive you\ 'll be taking complete ownership of team administration duties as well as directly supporting the Manager Sector Engagement and Collaboration (SEC) who is based in Auckland. You\ 'll need to be a great communicator, be able to work independently and use your initiative.
On a daily basis you\ 'll be:
Supporting the manager by organising their calendar, assisting with email management and meeting management
Administering all events and meetings, agenda preparation, minute taking and venue and equipment hire
Assisting with financial accounts, travel bookings and general admin support across the team.
You will have great attention to detail and with a natural solutions focused attitude. You will also bring:
Previous experience working as a team administrator while directly supporting a manager;
Previous experiencecoordinating diaries, event management and administration, minute taking and general administration tasks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
A strong customer service focus with a\ 'can do\' attitude
Ability to self-direct, take the initiative and plan your own workload without supervision
Ability to be flexible and adaptable and stay calm under pressure
Able to travel nationally.
