**He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role**
We are looking for an experienced Tenancy Manager for our new Transitional Housing services opening in Rotorua. The role will manage tenancies within our Transitional Housing programme, where the Tenancy Manager works in collaboration with our housing navigation teams to achieve the goal of long term, sustainable housing for whānau.
The role involves carrying out property inspections, managing all lease documentation, managing tenant financial contributions, managing turnover and working in partnership with other team members and peers to achieve the desired results, all while upholding and promoting Emerge Aotearoa's health and safety and well-being policies.
**He kōrero mōu | About You**
It is essential that applicants have previous tenancy management experience within New Zealand and knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act. We are looking for a forward-thinking person who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident, and compassionate.
You'll have extensive knowledge and experience within the property sector and property management, ideally with a background in property procurement. You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with people. You'll be able to work autonomously but also work well in a team environment. In addition, you'll have:
- Experience in managing a portfolio of tenancies in the public/community or private sector.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and manage difficult customer relationships.
- Experience working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances
- Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills
- Effective time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience working within the community or homelessness sector is desirable
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have a clean full NZ driver's licence.
