Associate Professor / Senior LecturerPosition Purpose The purpose of the Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer position is
To provide outstanding leadership in teaching, research and health
Sector, Iwi and community engagement for the School of Nursing.
This will be achieved by teaching within an area of expertise in
Nursing programmes, gaining research funding and undertaking
High-quality research, supervising doctoral/master?s students,
Mentoring researchers, and providing administrative/professional
Service to the School, College, University and Nursing profession.

Teaching/Supervision ? Coordinate and teach in postgraduate and undergraduate
Nursing courses as required by the Head of School or
Delegated authority.
Examine student work, and supervise teaching and marking
Undertaken by tutors, assistant lecturers or external personnel.
Design and maintain study materials relevant to the
Programme using a blended approach to delivery, including

Undertake student evaluations required by the School or

Ensure all teaching is informed by research and delivered in an

Qualifications and ExperienceQualifications:
? Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate
(APC) (essential).
A PhD in nursing or a related discipline or equivalency
(essential).
A teaching qualification (desirable).4Recent clinical and/or education experience in nursing

Experience:
? Primary health care, including primary mental health;

Experience in teaching delivery, including the use of electronic
