Exciting opportunity to join a new, innovative teamYour PurposeAs an Engineering Stores assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring all inventories in the Engineering/Motor/Oil stores on site are managed at the required levels. The efficient use of MEX system for all tasks related to stocks, orders and goods for stores is an important aspect of this role.Performing daily procurement issuing and receipting stock, requisitioning, invoice approval and other administrative support tasks will be part and parcel of your responsibilities. You will also support the achievement of Maintenance goals and targets through the provision of relevant data and reports.
Other key responsibilities for this role include the following:
Create new stock items within MEX in accordance with data standards, based upon approval by the Maintenance Manager and final approval from Reliability Manager.
Ensure criticality is entered against stock as and when plant criticality is updated.
Undertake weekly stock takes in Engineering, oil and motor store including daily cycle counts
Receipting in all the inwards goods for stores and workshop orders through MEX
Raise purchase requisitions on non-stocked consumable items e.G. air fitting nuts and bolts
Review purchase order commitments report weekly and follow-up on overdue or stale purchase orders.
Ensure picking of parts are done diligently and identify opportunities to improve the process
Assist in developing improved inventory systems
Non-stock requisitioning of maintenance parts in either MEX or SAP as required based on specifications providedWhat You?ll Bring
Your prior experience in handling stores responsibilities in a manufacturing environment will be an advantage. Experience of working on MEX or other IT systems related to stores management will see you thrive in this role.You?ll also have:
Previous work experience in an Admin/Procurement role or as a Team Leader
Previous experience in working with SAP/MEX is preferred
Advanced User of Microsoft Office
Proven track record in working in the FMCG Industry
Strong communications skills, both verbal and writtenOur Story
