Reporting to the National Safety, Health and Wellbeing Manager-Supply Chain, you will lead our Auckland Distribution Centre (ANDC) safety function ensuring risk is mitigated and that all parties collaborate to achieve common safety targets and goals.Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
Management of safety, health and wellbeing legislative compliance requirements
Continuous improvement of safety, health and wellbeing systems and processes
Developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, clearly communicating SH&
W matters and developinga culture of care
Conducting regular audits of locations and audit reporting
Collaborating with key patterns to develop consistent safety policies, procedures and standards
Risk and hazardous goods management
SH&
WTraining and support
Support and audit of ACC partnership requirements
About you
As we look to contemporise our SH&
W function, we need someone who can apply a fresh lens and offer a fresh perspective to existing processes and procedures. You should be someone who enjoys challenging the status quo, someone keen to inject a positive growth mindset and someone with outstanding communication and facilitation skills. Your wider experience will likely reflect:
5+ years Safety, Health and Wellbeing experience in large-scale organisations
Experience within construction, manufacturing, Working at Height or Waste Management industries
Strong understanding of technical and compliance requirements across SH&
W
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and gain credibility
Good problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
Qualifications such as NEBOSH general certificate, MIOSH and/or Environmental qualification, IEMA certificate preferred
