We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to join our Major Projects Transport team in Auckland.
This role offers the technical review element as well as enabling you to take a lead position in the delivery of key or strategic projects. You will provide consultancy services to Government, Local Authority, and Private Sector clients. Manage projects following the WSP Project Management Framework and utilise resources across the organisation and externally as necessary to achieve successful project outcomes. Proactively manage assigned client relationships, develop strong relationships, and understanding clients? present and future needs.
Define and solve our client?s problems through design thinking and teamwork.
Promote best practice and technical excellence by applying sound technical review practices and taking a leading role in delivery of key or strategic projects across the globe.
Manage the commercial performance of projects, ensuring timely and meaningful responses to challenges, issues and opportunities, and enabling sustainable levels of high performance
Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality to achieve, or exceed, the planned commercial outcomes for revenue, cost, profit and planned programme.
Ensure that sound project management practice is the norm for all projects and that requirements for project planning, verification, review and release are consistently met.
Ensure that all risks are identified, controlled and managed in a timely and rigorous manner
Ensure continuous improvements and innovations are made to project systems, practices and quality service delivery
Ensure that Monthly Project Reviews are completed and accurately reflect the position of the project
Identify, develop and promote new services and delivery through a consistent approach, using value pricing, along with appropriate verification and auditing
Enhance WSP reputation through providing excellent customer service and appropriate technical solutions to client?s problems.
Regularly communicate with clients to ensure they are:
well informed about the project;
aware of project risks;
involved in key project decisions;
and their expectations are met.
Ensure we always work to understand and match or exceed clients expectations in the quality and timeliness of the services we provide
Proactively manage assigned client relationships, develop strong relationships, and understanding clients? present and future needs.
Maximise WSP revenue from clients by cross-selling.
